Gospel-Centered Creative Arts for All.

For the Young  Artist

We offer a variety of private music and art lessons in order to provide school-age students with a well-rounded and effective education in a faith-based environment.

For the Community

Encouraging community involvement in choirs, orchestras, and arts-centered events curated to enhance the gifts God has given us.

For the Local Churches

We invite other local churches, schools, and organizations to join with the SCBC family in masterclasses, workshops, and interactive arts experiences that will enhance the gifts and talents and share the gospel with the local community.

Community Choir

Love to sing? Come make music with us!

Shoal Creek Community Choir is a completely free choral ensemble open to singers throughout our community, ages 13 and up! You do not have to be a member here to participate in community choir.

The choir meets approximately once every three weeks to once a month, making it possible to enjoy challenging, meaningful music without a weekly rehearsal commitment. Together, we'll explore intermediate to advanced classical choral repertoire, building musicianship, ensemble skills, and a great choral sound along the way.

Community Choir has two scheduled performances each year, with the possibility of additional opportunities as they arise.

Whether you're a lifelong choral singer, a former choir member looking for a place to sing again, or simply ready for a new musical challenge, we'd love to have your voice in the room.

The Creative Arts Academy

School-age children and teens (1st - 12th Graders) can register and participate in weekly, private lessons offered from members of our church and community. Currently, we are offering lessons on the following instruments:

Electric Bass
Woodwinds
Brass
Visual Arts (Sketching, & Painting)

Registration for lessons opens in May of each year for the upcoming school year. Students and/or adults may register for a full year of lessons, or they may choose to register for one semester only. Adults also have the option of weekly, or bi-weekly lessons.

What to Expect:

30-Minutes Each Week

Each student will participate in a one-on-one, weekly 30-minute lesson with their teacher. These lessons will focus on technical skills as well as overall musicality.

Our academic calendar strives to provide 16 weeks of lessons per semester.

Lesson Cost

$400 per semester + $75 Registration Fee
Different payment plans (monthly, bi-weekly, or semesterly) can be setup and selected upon registration.

*Sibling Discounts and BOGO Discounts offered. See the Student Information Packet below, for more information.*

Semester Recitals

Each student will participate in two recitals per year (spring and fall), playing one piece in front of their family and friends. This is their time to show off all the new skills they have learned throughout the year!

During these recitals, we also recognize student excellence through awards and certificates.

Lesson Location

All lessons will be held on the Shoal Creek Baptist Church campus. Lesson scheduling will be done per semester, and will be dependent on both the student and teacher availability.

Teacher selection is based on student schedules and teacher availability, as well as incoming understanding and knowledge of the selected instrument.

Let's Create Together!

Meet the Director of the Creative Arts

Hello! My name is Hannah Clardy and I serve as the Director of Creative Arts here at Shoal Creek Baptist Church.

My hope and vision for the Creative Arts ministry is to provide a safe, gospel-centered space for artists of all ages to not only grow in their technical skills, but also in their faith through singing, playing an instrument, painting, and more.

I would love nothing more than for you or your children to get involved in this ministry, sharing your God-given gifts and talents with us. Feel free to contact me at hannah.clardy@shoalcreekchurch.org.

I look forward to creating with you!
